Prior to opening her practice, Ms. Schoenefeld practiced law at Messina Law Firm, P.C., Holmdel, New Jersey, where she worked as an associate and later as “of counsel.” Ms. Schoenefeld has represented clients in a wide range of cases. Her experience in complex civil litigation includes litigating numerous issues of state and federal substantive law, as well as sophisticated procedural, discovery and evidentiary issues, and post-judgment motions and appeals. As of March 2015, Ms. Schoenefeld serves as an arbitrator with the Mercer County Superior Court in the arbitration proceedings involving breach of contract type of cases.
Ms. Schoenefeld has experience in cases involving complex issues of federal and state law, such as the Sherman Act; the Lanham Act; the Federal Communications Act; the Truth in Lending Act; the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act; the New Jersey Farmland Assessment Act; the New Jersey Right to Farm Act; and the New Jersey Open Public Records Act. She also has handled matters focused on the business torts of unfair competition, product disparagement, and tortious interference with existing/prospective contractual relationships; construction defects; zoning laws and regulations; select topics in Delaware and Nevada corporate law; evidentiary and discovery disputes, including electronic discovery and spoliation of evidence.
Ms. Schoenefeld is a longstanding member the American Bar Association’s Sections of Litigation, Antitrust Law, Science & Technology Law, Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, and is active in the Section of International Law where she served as a vice-chair of the Europe Committee (2007-2009), vice-chair of the International Litigation Committee (2009-2013), and served as an executive editor of The International Dispute Resolution News, a joint publication of the International Litigation, International Arbitration, and International Mediation Committees (2009-2012).
Ms. Schoenefeld is proficient in the Russian and German languages.
